Pontiac Repair: 1992 Bonneville Battery, antenna system, motor assembly

Question
My battery recently started dying overnight, but nothing was left on. I believe there is a drain. I also believe that the antenna is the cause. You see, about 6 month ago, my antenna stopped working, but the radio still works. Could the drain be coming from a fuse on the antenna, if so, where exactly is the fuse, what should I do?

Answer
Hi
Very well could be, sound like a parasitic drain on the battery. There is a relay located on the antenna motor assembly, that will be the only way to unhook power. There are 2 fuses that power the antenna, but they operate other systems also so the relay is the only thing to unplug to check for drain in antenna system. If the antenna does not work anyway, you can unplug it and see if drsin goes away.
Best advise will be to take it to a repair shop you trust and ask them to preform a draw test on the battery system to find exact cause.
Good luck
