Pontiac Repair: Vibration, cause vibration, pontiac grand am

Question
Hey Steve,

My car 1996 Pontiac Grand Am SE DOHC 2.4 L4

Alternator repairs, EGR Repairs, ABS Repairs are the only repairs that i can think of... besides tune up expenses.

I was wondering if you could help me troubleshoot this odd vibration i get when im going atleast over 60+ mph on the freeway. Is it suspesion related? Is there some kind of bushling with the steering wheel? I really dont know. I feel vibrations coming from he steering wheel mainly (cause my hands are in place) and the car isn't as smooth as it could be. My question is, Where is this vibration coming from? The vibration seems to come from the front end of the car rather than the back end. This is as short, and specific it can get. Vibration occurs over 60mph, Steering wheel, front end of the car. If you have any suggestions in repairing this starting at low cost repairs, then onward up to expensive repairs, Any help or detailed answer is most definitely appreciated. Thanks!

Answer
first thing i would do is have the tires balanced and rotated this may help.i have also seen warped brake rotors cause vibration.suspension problems may also cause this if the struts get bad.getting an alignment will also help.struts are expensive and cost to have installed.having the tires done with a good alignment is cheapest way to start.good luck
