Pontiac Repair: 1995 grand am power steering pump, grand am power, power steering pump

Hi Kris,
I want to replace my power stering pump on my
1995 grand am,3.1 v six. My repair book tells me to remove two bolts behind the pulley, I did ,
remove the return line and pressure line then lift the pump out, I can rock the pump back and forth,but it wont lift out of the bracket.Do I need to remove the top motor mount to get the
pump out.

I hate to give answers like this John, but I haven't pulled a pump on a 3.1 in quite a while so it would be really difficult for me to say with any cetanty. On the other hand just about every GM ps pump I have ever pulled in my life has 3 bolts or 2 and a stud with a nut holding it to the bracket so gut instinct is telling me there is another bolt holding this thing in. Wish I could be more specific than this, but hope it doesn't give you too much more trouble :)
