Pontiac Repair: 96 Pontiac Grand Prix, pontiac grand prix, vacuum leak

Question
I have a 96 GP with 3.1 liter engine. For one, it seems to high idle often...the O2 sensor has been changed but the problem is still there.  And there has also been a new computer put in as well.

A while ago, my husband was driving home and the car was high idling so he turned it off, after that, it wouldn't start again.  Later that day, it started right up.  He is able to bypass the ignition and it will start, but if you use the key, it won't...I just called the dealer for a new key (we are grasping here).  Also, sometimes the lights on the radio don't work...I think this car is haunted...any ideas.

Answer
Hi, the high idle could be a vacuum leak, or the idle control valve, the not starting this could be the ignition switch, if the key will turn on, then it would not be the key. the light in the radio, this could be just a loose connection. Sorry I can't help on the haunted.
