Pontiac Repair: 1996 Grand Prix fans will not come gas line freezes, pontiac grand prix, jump wires

as long as im driving the car on the highway  it is fine but as soon as i hit a road with alot of stop lights it wants to die then when i shut it off i can not restart the car until it completley cools down.. I have noticed the fans do not come on i have replaced the fuses under the hood and in the fuse box in the car.. do you have any suggestions to what it might be? this is a 1996 pontiac grand prix

Hi, you need to check and make sure the fan motor is good,
You can do this with two jump wires, unplug the motor and connect the jump wires the the plug in wires of the motor, then take the other end of the wires touch the battery. if the motor comes on the, Then will be in the fan relay or the heat sensor.
