Pontiac Repair: Turn Signal, volume button, signal problem

Question
Hi Wayne
I sent this to you recently but discovered I was having problems with my email; if you did receive this the first time would you please respond again.
Have a '97 Grand Am SE, 4 cyl. Both turn signals stopped working today.  When pull lever either up or down, there is No clicking sound, no arrow indicators in instr panel. I switched 10amp fuses, that didn't help. Any ideas?

One other problem if you don't mind. For about the last 3 months, long before my turn signal problem, my clock and my radio display don't light up. Radio plays OK(well, except that the volume button is hard to change-I have to squeeze the sides of the volume button when I turn it to get volume to adjust). I checked fuse it's OK. Any ideas?
Thanks so much.

Answer
Hi Don, change the flasher, If it don't go back to working. then you no it will be in the trun singnal switch. or a loose conection, you can check the fuse box at the signal fuse, see if there is fire on both sides of the fuse. if there is fire on both side of fuse. Then it could be the switch. If there is no fire on the fuse, there is a loose conection in the system.
