Pontiac Repair: coolingsystem 93 grand prix, pontiac grand prix, radiator cap

Question
I have a question about the cooling system on 93 pontiac grand prix se with 3.1 l v6.  Can you tell me the proper procedure for bleeding off air from cooling system ( i know theres 2 lil bleeders) and could that be affecting the electric fans from turning on ?  thanks for your time .

Answer
The bleeders are used to get trapped air out of the system when filling it up.
With the engine off, remove the radiator cap and open the bleeders. Start filling until coolant is running out of the bleeders. Tighten them up and continue to fill the system until it is full.
Its possible that trapped air in the system will cause the fans to not come on, but usually it is an electrical problem with the fan circuits.
