Porsche Repair: 86 944T Starting problem., ok dave, strange noise

I have a starting problem. Notice it was losing power when ever you press the paddle driving. Then I pulled into my parking space. And it just wound down like it was losing power. No strange noise nothing. I check the voltage on the fuel pump connector. Check the voltage on the injector. The car sound like it wants to start but no joy. I am not sure if my fuel pump is bad or my coil. I have a new battery.

So many possibilitities!!!! and so little time!!!!

We have to narrow this down...and quickly.  If you can do these following tests, give them a try.  If you need more detail or explanation, or you aren't sure how to do the tests safely,  write back using the all-experts follow-up choice.

1.  Test for fuel at the fuel rail.
2.  Test for spark at the coil.
3.  Test for power to the ECU.
