RV Repair: cable, easy job, pulley

Question
I have a 2004 Atwood hi low and the cable let go or broke on the one side, need to know how to change, can you help me please?

Answer
You need to pull up the wooden cover that accesses the cable.  This usually doubles as the step in to the beds.  Many times you can access the pulleys from under the seats, you will find covers there.

the track gets weak from rust, and they are flimsey already.  the track usually bends and puts the pulley out of alignment.  This causes the cable to become loose and jump off track.  the repair will be reinforcing the track, realigning the pulley and resetting the cables.

Not an easy job.  Worth it if the camper is worth it.

good luck.  reply if you need more info.
