RV Repair: winegard antenna, antenna head, winegard antenna

1993 truck camper with original winegard antenna.  I have 12 volts in coax at antenna head.  Red light is on power supply.  New tv will not pick up signals when going from antenna through power supply to tv.  If I go straight from Antenna to TV will pick up about 4 channels fairly clear and 3 that come and go. Why will tv not pick up signal whn going through power supply.  Cables appear to be hooked up correctly.  Could antenna head be bad even thought I pick up channels when hooked direct to tv.  Please help.

is this device an amplifier to gain more channels?  I am not sure what it is.  I know that tv signals are now digital and possibly your old antenna is not compatible with this "power supply".  Or possibly the tv needs to be put on cable signal rather than antenna/analog.
