RV Repair: rv air conditioner stopped blowing air, rv air, fan blades

Question
Just went camping and the main air conditioner stopped blowing air. Crawled up on the roof and the fan was not working. Not sure if there is an easy fix or its something major. Just replaced the shroud due to hail cracking the vents. No damage was visible so not sure if that has anything to do with it. I have a 2005 tiffin Allegro. We hardly use it so wear and tear should not be an issue. do you know anything i can try and trouble shoot before i drive far to go get it fixed, worried its something simple.

Answer
can you spin the fan blades by hand, with the power off?  If it spins, does it seem to be hitting anything?  Can you spin backwards to see if anything got caught in the motor.  Did you check breakers?  Did you check the unit to see if it is accidently off, or the thermostat is working properly?  I ask these things because many times it is the little things that get missed.

I dont know how able you are to get to the connections and things at the unit.  If you can get to them, the first thing to do is watch the starter coil while someone else turns the AC on.  If the coil does not engage, there should be a spot where you can manually trip it on with an insulated screwdriver.  Remember, this is likely 220V.  If you can get the unit to start manually, but not automatically, your coil is not being energized.

I believe the fan should start first.  Then after a delay, the unit will start.  If the fan does not start, everything else wont either.  Could also be fan motor.
