Audio Systems: 1999 suburban am fm cd w/theftlock, theftlock, cd laser

Question
Recently purchased 99 Burb with nonfunctioning cd player. am fm works great so don't believe the theftlock system is a problem. whenever a cd is inserted the err waarning comes on and kicks the cd out. Any suggestions? Quick fixes? have tried blowing into the opening with air compressor to see if there may be a business card or some type of obstruction and have tried lightly spraying contact cleaner. thanks

I hate to bring bad news, but you did two things that will cause serious damage a CD unit. 1-blow air into it, 2-Spray a contact cleaner into the CD mech. The error code comming up was most likely from the CD laser lense being dusty or dirty. The next cause is that the laser is weak and the pick up assembly needs replacing.
