RV Repair: Tank level sensor wires, yellow wires, sensor wires

I have a 2009 Nomad model 247.  Recently, my dog chewed the wires in two that mount to the black and gray water collection tanks.  The smallest guage wires are mostly still in tact and I can reconnect them to the larger guage wires that they coincide with.  White, brown, and yellow wires that are 16awg seem to have fed the smaller guage wires for both tanks and are color coded except for the brown, which only has the option of being tied to some small guage red wires.  Any knowledge of these?

This question is a little confusing.  Did the dog chew a connector?  A big wire can feed multiple small wires, so you can connect the ones you feel belong together with a wire nut.  Do both tanks have the same wire color codes and number of wires to them?  Put the brown to the red.  Connect the like colors.
