RV Repair: dometic fridge, fleetwood southwind, southwind storm

Question
I have a 1995 fleetwood southwind storm with a 2 way fridge.while in the south on very hot days, once u open the door he fridge struggles to stay cool.I have been looking at the solar vent fans that go on the roof and replace the current on over the fridge. My question is do these things work and what do u have to do to install it.Is it just he 4 screws(which i cant see because of sealant on them)that just have to be removed.the fridge works fine on both gas and electric when temps are in the 70s but struggles on both when temps r in 90s.Thanks a lot.I think it is a 2611 model

Answer
Hi Jeff,
Yes, Remove the four screws and that will remove the vent cover. I would create as much air movement as possible across the rear fins. Insulate around the refer.(you have to pull it out for that.) Ck and see if the refer has a climate control switch. This should be on during hot humid climates. Good luck.
