RV Repair: Water Pump keeps running, wheel camper, water faucet

I have a 2001 Wilderness 5th Wheel Camper and the water pump which is a Shureflo model no. 2088 keeps running after the water faucet is closed. The water does flow when the faucet is open. I have checked the water lines and I have not found any water leaks. In other campers that we have had, the pump shuts off after pressure is built up in the water lines. Is my pump no longer any good or could I be getting air entering the water line someplace, possibly the street water hook up.

Roger, It sounds to me like the pressure switch on the water pump has gone bad. This happens sometimes when they go through a winter and get frozen. Usually it is better to replace the pump instead of replacing parts. In fact I am not even sure they sell the parts to repair them anymore. I hope this helps, Bill
