How do I remove a ceiling strip so I can get to a ceiling panel ?

Mike, What do you mean by a strip? Is this the batting? Or is this a 4'x8' panel? These are usually stapled to the ceiling and to remove them you only need to pull them off. Be careful when doing so, especially if you can't match the ones that are in the coach. Now some ceilings have T-Bar up there and the panel fits into a groove.
