What is the proper hook up pattern for a two battery travel trailer

Answer
That depends on whether they are 6 volt or 12 volt batteries. If they are 12 volt then you should connect one battery to the positive side of the coach and the other battery has the ground hooked to it. Then you will need to connect a wire of correct size from one positive to the other positive and the same to the negative. If they are 6 volt you do the same with the wires coming from the coach but you will have a negative free and a positive free. You then connect the negative side of one battery to the positive side of the other. This is called being in series and makes the 6 volt now 12 volt. Hope that this helps, Bill
