RV Repair: Slideout, slide outs, repairman

Question
I have a 2003 25ft Hornet Lite.
It has a small slideout - about a foot and a half.
It started leaking around the top of the slideout seal last winter. Buy the time I noticed it the floor and bottom of wall were soft.
I suffered through the summer via duct tape along the top to stop further damage.
I took it to a repair shop about a month ago.
They replaced the top seal and readjusted the slideout.
The slide out is about a half to 3/4 of an inch lower in the back than front now.
He said he adjusted it up as high as he could.
Now the seal in the back does not strike the side of the trailer, but does on the interior seal right below the exterior of the trailer.
The repairman told me it was weather tight now, but his tone was not very inspiring. A bit disappointing after the $400 bill.

What do you think?

Answer
Hi Glenn, Slide outs will leak. Most cases, its only the once in a while Katrina type storm. Lots of rain. You always can add more seal. Most of the seal available is stick on. If you don't have one already? You may also consider a slide topper. Good Luck
