RV Repair: No heat from RV heater, limit switch, safety feature

Hello..My question is. I have a 2001 Four-Winds, by THOR. The problem is my heater. Last year it worked great up in Oregon, Now that we need the heater again, it does not work. What it does it blow cold air. The heater sounds like it turns on, but what comes out is just cold air!  Someone said it was a safety feature called a "FIN"..not sure what it is..Can you tell me what to do?

Hi Sylvia, I don't know what a FIN is. But it sounds like a limit switch. You can remove the front cover and look for a on/off switch. If you have one? Turn it off, and then back on. Then reset you thermostat and see if it heats. Sometimes they go into a low voltage lockout, this will reset it. If not then you will have to have the sail or limit switch replaced. Good Luck.
