RV Repair: Motor Home Odometer Repair, speedometer shop, fleetwood motor home

Question
I have a 1992 Bounder (474 Chev.) on which the odometer quit working, although the speedometer still works fine. A speedometer shop in Phoenix sent the guage cluster to Fleetwood in Seattle, stating that Fleetwood was the only outfit that could do the repair.  Fleetwood came back with a bid of $720, which I declined.

DO YOU KNOW OF ANY SHOP THAT CAN GET PARTS AND REPAIR FLEETWOOD MOTOR HOME ODOMETERS (OTHER THAN FLEETWOOD)?

Answer
Hi:
I am sorry I do not. The last time I had one fixed it cost my shop $900, so your $720 quote is in the ballpark. I would do a little work on the internet. An alternative might be an external odometer although I have never tried one myself. I know some big rigs have external odometer that mount to the front bearing cover? Sorry, thats all I have.
