Saturn Repair: oil, burning oil, coolant

about every 300 miles i drive i have to add a quart of oil. It is not leaking and when smoke comes out of the exhaust it is white so it doesnt seem to be burning oil. Do you have any idea on what the problem would be.

 I don't know what kind of vehicle you have, but I would assume that it is burning the oil.  If you can't find the oil on the ground, or in the coolant as a peanut-butter sludge smoothie, you are probably burning it.  That's the only other place for it to go.  Let me know what type of vehicle you have.
