Saturn Repair: cooling fan not coming on, saturn sl2, cooling fan

Question
I have a1994 saturn sl2,when the car gets hot the fan will not come on, Ichecked the fuses and  i hotwired the fan the fan works fine Do you have any idea what it could be?

I believe that the fan on the SL2 1994 is relay controlled. The relay should be in a little box under the hood on the drivers side.  Unfortunately, I don't know which one nor can I tell you how to test it.  Sorry.  I haven't come across the problem so it is out of my area of expertise.
It could also be that the controls inside the car aren't telling the relay to engage (the contacts could be broken or simply corroded). I checked the manual and it doesn't suggest a repair for that particular problem.
