QUESTION: How does the mechanical governor hook up on the end away from the carburator

ANSWER: Do you have a Briggs engine?  What is the model and code number?

If the governor arm has been removed you will have to perfrom a static governor (mechanical) for the governor.  The link below decribes this procedure:

QUESTION: Eric the part I need to hook back up has like a paper clip end on the end that is lose it is on a briggs and stratton vertical shaft engine. Model 090707 5830 01 8508 3012 are the numbers stamped on the engine
