Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): dx75 john deere, carburetor rebuild kit, blowing gas

i just got this mower it is blowing gas and oil out of the exhaust what do i need to do to fix the mower it was free so i dont mind spendn a lil bit to get it running right

Why that is doing that is the float in the carburetor probably has a piece of dirt or gunk keeping the float from shutting off so the fuel is free flowing in the engine. get a carburetor rebuild kit or sometimes you can just buy a new carburetor it may be better if this is a inexpensive mower,these carburetors are fairly inexpensive and all you have to do is bolt them on.When you remove the old carburetor make sure you remember where the springs,& linkage goes in the holes or else you will be having problems.
