Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Edge-All K $ S edger, new shaft, shaft assembly

I have an edger 2 Hp B&S Edge All by K & S Manufacturing. Green in color (original) looks very similar to the Golden boy edger posted at Golden boy.com  http://groups.yahoo.com/group/golden_boy_edgers/  
except the engine is mounted in reverse and blade located on right side instead of the left.
Shaft broke off and slung the blade, need a new shaft assembly.  Cant find the model number anywhere,  Any ideas.......?

How much is a new or used engine?  A shaft may cost any where from $35-75 dollars plus you may need to replace the oil sump gasket and oil seals, about another $15-25.

There were no numbers stamped on the engine shroud?  It will be difficult to find a crankshaft part number without the engine model and type number.  On a good note, almost any 2 hp crank will fit as there are mostly the same.  The main difference could be the crankshaft output, length, diameter, and key configuration.

Have you looked on Ebay or the internet for a new or used engine?

Take another look and see if you can find the engine numbers.
