Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Peerless Transaxel, peerless transaxel, simplicity 5216

Question
I have a Simplicity 5216.  The transmission 801-019c peerless, is shot.  I cannot find one used and can not afford a new one.  I have found some 801-019 and 019A.  What is the difference and will one of these work in my mower?

Most of the time the internals are all the same for the 801 series.  There may be a gear difference but the difference is minimial.

The main difference is the axle length but you can always use your old axles.

No matter what I would replace the grease and change the shift pins.
