Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Valve springs, briggs stratton engine, briggs stratton

Question
Briggs-Stratton Engine Model 19402, L-Head.
I removed the valves/springs to adjust the valve clearance, and I got the springs mixed up.  On spring is slightly shorter than the other, but not sure which is for intake and which for exhast. I checked a repair parts list, and they have a different part number for each, so I assume it is critical to get them back in the correct location.

Answer
Hello Bob:

>>The Shorter Spring is the Exhaust Spring.
>>If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I Hope to be Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.
