Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): greyhound 6.5hp idle to high, overhead valve engines, horizontal shaft

Question
i have a go-kart with a brand new greyhound 6.5hp engine on it and when you do not press the gas it goes, how do i fix the idle on it?

The Model Numbers May be Stamped Into the Blower Housing (metal engine cover) Above the Spark Plug or the Muffler. Many horizontal shaft, overhead valve engines have these numbers stamped into the OHV rocker cover.
