Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 8hp briggs, couple mins, toro mower

Question
I have a toro mower. just got it and fixed it up it had been sitting for sometime. got it started and it ran great mowed the lawn with it, went to use it tonight and it ran for about 2mins lots of smoke comming out the muffler. when it died it would crank over then start not get full rpm but then die. after it set for a couple mins and I tried to start it it blew oil and gas out the muffler. could it be the valve stuck or is it the float in the carb???

Answer
I'm sure whats happened is you have some sediment in the carburetor bowl and this has caused the needle valve to stick open allowing the gas to mix with the oil. You need to remove the carburetor and clean it out, replace the fuel filter and change the oil.
