Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): fastener bolt, yardman inteck 6.5 hp lawn mower, air impact wrench, cutting blade

I have an old yardman Intec and would like to know which way to turn to loosen the bolt fastener so that I can replace the blade. My friend told to loosen it in the direction of the cutting blade. I tied it and it won't work.

Normal threads, righty tighty and lefty loosy.   The bolt is pretty tight; we use and air impact wrench, like the kind auto tire installers use, to remove the blade bolt.

Make sure you remove the spak plug and never tilt the mower on it's side.  If you need to tilt the mower to access the blade bolt make sure the empty spark plug hole (because you removed the spark plug)faces up at the sky.

You can loosen by hand but a 1/2 inch drive wratchet or breaker bar will make the job easier.
