Nissan Repair: nissan parts crossover, cab 4x4, good shape

QUESTION: I have a 1993 d21 Hardbody extended cab 4x4 that after replacing nearly every mechanical part within 2 years I hit a pole and totaled it! I love this truck and want to buy another as I have all of the parts I'd ever need to replace. I have found several Pre 1989 z24i that are in good shape and in my price range, which is broke most of the time! My question is will all or any of the major parts such as the alt, waterpump, starter,coil,distributor,ETC. Interchange with my ka24e parts so I can swap the parts as needed? If anyone in minnesota has a 1989-1997 hardbody ex-cab 4cyl ka24e pick-up for sale let me know! Thanks

Unless the engine is the same the parts will not fit.  But, if your old engine is good it will swap.

QUESTION: I know that I am an idiot at times but the people that engineer these vehicles are not supposed to be. So you are saying that every part both internal and external on this model of truck is different and can not be swapped?

Yes, things like the alternator and airconditioning compressor, and powersteering pump would interchange.  I am referring to the internal parts would not interchange if the engines are different.  All relays adn most of the electrical will interchange too as would the steering column parts and such.
