Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda Lawnmower, honda lawnmower, bolt torque

Question
I have a 2005 Honda Harmony II self propelled mower and it has leaked a lot of oil from the 'transmission box' on the rear axle of the mower. I gets cold here in MN over the winter. I found the leak this spring. Model # HRR216TDA.

Answer
Hello Paul:

>>Sorry for the Delay. They are Installing Sewer Lines in the Area and have been Hitting Water Lines and Electric Lines all Day. I am Using the Generator Until they get Done for the Day. lol. It's been an on and off thing all Day.
>>You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower/Engine at this Site Addy, http://www.emerichsalesandservice.com/pages/parts/viewbybrand/16/HondaPowerEquip... Use the OEM Parts Diagrams Look Up by Model or the Quick Parts Look Up Window to Select and View a Breakdown/IPL for this Unit.
>>If the Leak Looks like it is Coming from the Seam where the 2 Halves Connect, then
>>Have you Checked the Transmission Housing Bolt Torque. Simply make sure they are Tight.
>>Don't Strip the Aluminum Housing.
You can Also use Ultra Grey Permatex and make a Seal for the Housing. If you want to do this and Require some Help, then Please Ask. I will be Glad to Explain How to Make a Gasket with the Permatex.
>>If the Leak Looks to be Coming from the Axle Shaft or Input Shaft Seals, then a New Transmission May be Required.
>>The OEM (Honda) Supplier I Use cannot Locate a Parts List or Breakdown for this Particular  Transmission.
>>If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
