Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Replacement Engine, briggs and stratton, rebuilder

Hello I'm looking for a replacement engine for a Briggs and Stratton. Model 190402 Type 4015-01 Code 90113010. I have not found a mreplacement as of today and have been told this engine has been discontinued. Can you please help? Thank You

Where in the USA are you located? send me a followup and I will try to point you in the direction of someone close to you.  

The 8hp engine you have inquired about is discontinued and has been for many years.  If you can find a 10-12.5 hp you can use it, but may have to swap cranks, electrical system etc from your current engine...  

This is a difficult replacement due to muffler configuration.  Can you repair your old engine via shortblock?  parts? etc...This may be an option...

If you really love this product that the engine is on send me a followup with whats wrong with the engine and perhaps i can help you find a rebuilder or replacement parts, or perhaps even an engine in your area...
