Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): cub cadet motor, briggs and stratton, cub cadet

Question
I have inherited a Cub Cadet with a Kawasaki FH661V 22.0 and the engine threw a rod.  I would like to know if I can switch the motor out with a Briggs and Stratton or a Kohler motor?

Answer
Hello Larry:

>>You can Put just about Any Engine/Power Plant on this Unit.
>>Make Sure the Mounting Holes are the Same. The Crankshaft has to be the Same Length and Diameter and have the same Key way, then Usually the Engine will Fit and Operate the Unit.
>>You may have to Change some Wires, but that is Usually a Simple Process.
>>If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
