Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): mcculoch weedeater, adjustment screws, speed jet

Question
i have mcculoch weedeater mac 2816 i had it running. i was going to adjust the idle i wound up turning the wrong screws and now it won't fire. theres two screws on top of the carbuertor side by side. i was wondering what the adjustments of the screws and idle have to be set at. how many turns? the idle screw on top toward the back.if you can help i would appreciate it. thanks aaron

Answer
Hi Aaron
A good starting point on the adjustment screws is 1 1/2 turns. One screw will have an "H" by it which is the high speed jet and the other will have a "L" low speed jet. While making adjustments, turn the screws 1/4 turn at a time. Hope this helps.
