Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Generator AC question, image attachment, transfer switch

Question
QUESTION: Greetings, I have a 4 year old Generac/ Guardian RV 40g generator (model
0047000)installed OEM by Eclipes RV - Toy Hauler.

The generator starts and runs great but recently developed a problem with
delivering AC power to the coach after start up. I have ensured that the main
breaker on the generator is "on" and the that all fuses at the main panel are
good. The generator manual tells me that the "transfer switch" is the next thing
to check that it is set to "Generator" vs "Normal" - that switch is something I
have never seen or touched.

Could it be a faulty Transfer Switch ?  How about the Voltage Regulator?   Any
advice on what to do next?  I'm pretty handy and can do the R&R once I figure
out the problem.  Thank you !

ANSWER: Hi Thomas,
The Generac Guardian Manual for Model 47000 indicates that there are two different models.
It indicates that one has a transfer switch while others use an isolating receptacle.
I suspect that your model may be the one with an isolating receptacle?

Did you check if the main circuit breaker is open?

I have attached an image from the manual which refers to the transfer switch.

Howard
PS. Let me know if you find anymore information out.

QUESTION: Thank you for your reply Howard.  As I stated in my original question / post, the main breaker is on. The system employes a transfer switch.  I don't see your image attachment.

Answer
Hi Thomas,

I guess the download of the image didn't work. I would try the dealer where you bought the machine.n  The manual that I looked at is the same one that you are referring to.

I didn't get a great orientation for where the switch might be.

Sorry but I am unable to help you further, since I have not that much experience with
generator's.

Howard
