Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Mac 2816 Trimmer Wont Draw Fuel, mac 2816, t draw

I have a Mac 2816 trimmer model # B400128-51, Ser. # 12-530158. It has always been a very dependable trimmer, but now it won't draw fuel from the tank. When I push the primer bulb in it stays in and doesn't draw back out. If I remove the air cleaner and squirt a little fuel in the carburator it starts in a couple pulls and runs until that fuel is gone, but it won't draw fuel from the tank to the carb. Where would you suggest to start?

pull the carb and take it aprt being carful not to lose any small parts. Clean everything thoroughly(jet,intake valve from tank,etc) It sounds like it has a blockage in the carb somewhere. Try to price a new carb for it somewhere if you can.Usually there pretty affordable if you can find the right one.
