Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Kawasaki fc150v wont start, kawasaki fc150v, needle valve

Question
Hi Jason,

I've a lawn mower with Kawasaki fc150v engine. The engine would only run on choke. So, I took the carb out, took it apart and cleaned it with carb cleaner. My question to you is, should the float valve clip back to the plastic float? I believe it should and but I just couldn't clip it back. I did not paid attention to when I disassembled float and float valve fell out immediately.

Thanks you in advance for your help.

Answer
the plastic float should have a place that the needle valve kind of just slides into? You will see how it goes if you play with for a little bit. But the first thing you need to do is to get it in the right position and in place before you put the float pin back in.
