QUESTION: the only numbers I can find are on the engine.  Its a Briggs and Stratton 18HP twin.  Model #- 422707,  Type- 1232 01, and Code- 89032212.

ANSWER: Based on the engine model and code number you have a riding mower, about 18 HP with a 1989 engine so the mower is probably a 2000 model.

Is the engine orginal?

If so, there are a small number of manufactures made mowers at that time.

Are there any stickers under the seat or rear fenders?  The mower manufacture and mower model number is usually located on this sticker.

Does you internet provider provide you space to post pictures?

QUESTION: The engine is original.  I have finally discivered that it is a Dynamark Mower. A 18/45 is what they call it. But I cannot find a pictorial of the Belt and cable layout for the deck

Answer
That helps narrow the search to AYP, American Yard Products, most likely made by Electrolux.  There should be a sticker on the mower, under the seat or rear fenders with a long model number YTxxxxxxx, or some similar format.  May be under the hood or dashboard.

Need the model number to look up the parts diagram.
