Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Montgomery Ward Tiller repower., front tine tiller, hp engines

I recently received an old Montgomery Ward front tine tiller from my parents. This tiller has a Tecumseh motor on it that bares the model # H5-6552-9R ser 8050D.  I finally got the tiller to run, but it needs some more work. I'm thinking about putting a new motor on it, but I need help in picking one out.  I can't find the tiller model or number on the tiller. Can you help?

The difficult choice is your options.  Most all of the old 5 HP engines have the same engine mounting footprint...engine should bolt right on.

All you should have to do is measure the lenght, diameter and key way or threads on the old engine.  Go online and search for an engine.  Look for an engine that has the same crankshaft dimensions.

Refer to this link and re-check you engine model and type number...I can't find your engine in the parts list.
