Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Riding Lawnmowers with hydrolics, riding lawnmowers, typical lawn

Question
I am looking into buying a new riding lawnmower. I would like to get one with ah hydraulic setup on it so I can hook up other accessories such as tiller, front blade, etc. Problem is I really don't want to spend 5,000 + for a lawnmower. Do you know any good mowers for around 2,000 or less with a hydraulic setup, or do you know if I could add a hydraulic system to one for a reasonable cost. If so where could I find info on doing this?

Answer
The short answer is no to both adding hydraulics and one for 2K.  I would look at buying a used garden tractor from John Deere, Ingersoll, Wheel Horse or Kubota myself.  I doubt $2,000 will do it, although if you frequent the auctions you might get lucky.

The problem with adding hydraulics to a typical lawn tractor is that there's not enough frame to support the weight and torque.  This is one reason why there's such a big jump in price from a lawn tractor to a garden tractor, there's a lot more metal.

I'm a big fan of garden tractors, they do a lot of work for reasonable money.  Unfortunately a lot of other people are huge fans of them as well and they don't come cheap.
