Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Re-attch pull cord on Tecumseh lawnmower, friend dave, plastic covers

Question
Please describe the process for re-attaching the pull-cord on a Tecumseh lawnmower - the 'walk-behind' kind.  The mower is perhaps 5-7 years old.  I shall be forever in your debt. Many thanks - in advance!!!!!

Answer
I'll try to explain it to you, and I'll also direct you to a video that my friend Dave made. The video is on youtube. Search for a channel called "davidsfarm" and his recent videos should have a video entitled "How to repair pull cord starters", or something of the sort. Here's how to repair it:
First, I would but a new flywheel cover. They contain a new pull-start assembly. You can get one on eBay, craigslist, or at a local lawn shop. Buying a new cover is much easier then fixing it. Trust me. If you are bent on fixing it, though, check the video above.
Second, Remove the flywheel cover. It's held on by four bolts; two in the head, and two in the back, bolted to the block.
Finally, replace the new cover and bolt back on.
*NOTE*: You need to remove all the pretty peripherals and plastic covers to access the flywheel cover.
