QuestionI replaced the gaskets on the carb and when you pull start it the motor starts the shut rite down???
Answer Not knowing for sure which engine you have, I will guess that it
is a Tecumseh with a primer bulb. Remove the nut/bolt that holds the carb bowl on, and look at it closely, there should be tiny holes in it's side and noe down the middle, clean these thoroughly and try it again. There also may be a tiny one at the base of the threads, clean that out with a small wire.
If you can find me the numbers off of the engine, I will have a better idea with what you have,
