Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): murray rider w/ 15.5 briggs, ohv engine, key switch

Question
I have a Murray rider that will run if you straight wire the electric choke and unplug the 4 wire connector that is located next to the starter. if you plug up the connector it will not run at all, I have checked the kill switch on the seat and the blades, and they are operational. the model is 425014x92B, and has a 15.5 horse briggs ohv engine.is there another one I am unawre of? I found a fuse and it was good. Thanks in advance.

Answer
You also have an interlock for the clutch/brake,and a transmission neutral
Check these switches first and then your wiring.  I know electrical problems are a real challenge.

You may also have a bad key switch.  I am not sure as i can not tell from your question if you are using the key switch to start.   IF your not, then after you check both your interlock switches then check the switch.  They are only like 10 bucks!

Happy Investigating.... drop me a followup and let me know what you found!
