Question
Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): hi its me again with the champion, stop screw, adjustment screw
motor 001
Thanks David

the website said I asked to meny questions.

I will contact the champion plant. But just to confirm that were both on the same page I sent you a picture of the carb. I am talking about the adjustment screw circled in red not the one in green. That is the screw is the one I was talking about when you suggested to turn out 1-½ turns.

Thanks again
Derek

Answer
Derek:

the screw that you are referring to is the Pilot Screw.  To adjust this properly,  With the Engine idling, turn the screw in or out until it reaches it highest RPM while idling.  Once you reach the highest possible idle RPM this way, adjust the THROTTLE STOP SCREW  -Green until you obtain the proper idle.

You will need a tachometer to set this.
