Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Replacement Belt for Dynamark, garden tiller, dynamark

Question
I have a Dynamark Heavy Duty 5 HP Gear drive garden tiller. I have never replaced the belt, therefore unable to match. I have model number and I know its a B & S motor. The unit is approximately 40 years old.
It is extremely difficult to get the belt on and off. Any suggestions on how to find a replacement belt?
Thanks

Answer
Hello Norman:

First you have to Locate the Part Number of the Belt. Dynamark was a Murray Unit. Since this is an Older and Possibly an Obsolete/Antique Unit, Use this Site Addy; http://www.partsandservice.com/ and Select "Parts Information" Indexed by Make and Model in the Middle of the Page. Once you have Located the Belt Part Numbers, then Use this Site Addy; http://outdoorpowerinfo.com/belts/ and Select the OEM Dynamark. Then Locate the Belt Number you have in the Chart. Use the Size and Go to Your Local Automotive Parts Retailer and Ask for an Industrial Grade Belt in the Size you have. Example: Part #300680 Length 77.5" (a 77.0 or 78" Belt will Work) Width .656" (1/2" is the Replacement Width for this Belt). You would Ask for an Industrial Belt 77" X 1/2". If you Wish, Send me the Make and Model Numbers and May be Able to Locate the Correct Belt for this Unit for you. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Have a Happy Holiday Season and May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
