Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): honda gx22, arinet, american honda

Question
I've taken this tiller apart that i got and was wondering if you could help me with the "timing". there are marks on the gears, but i don't know how they are supposed to line up.

Answer
Hello Ben:

There should be a Straight Mark on the Crankshaft Gear Tooth and a Large Dimple/Dot Between the Teeth of the Cam. The Mark on the Tooth of the Crankshaft Matches the Dimple/Dot Between the Teeth of the Cam Gear. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower/Engine at this Site Addy, http://hayward.arinet.com/scripts/EmpartISAPI.dll?MF&app=ASP&lang=EN&TF=Mainfram... and Select the Catalog American Honda. Please, Do Not Hesitate, If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem, I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
