Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): my 2 cylinder briggs and stratton twin II wont start, briggs and stratton, friends dad

Question
The spark plugs spark, it started about 1 month ago my friends dad for some reason touched the kill switch wire to the positive terminal of the battery and then burned out the starter.  Since then I bought a new starter and pulled off a new magneto off of an identical engine.

Answer
Hello Kenny:

When the Kill Wire was Touched to the Positive Terminal, this Damaged the Coil/Ign Module Coil and Possibly a Component in the Safety System of the Unit. A Coil/Ign Module Coil has No Hot Wire. A Coil is Grounded on 1 Side when Mounted and the Other Side is Grounded to Stop the Coil from Firing the Plug/s. Send me the Model and Type or Spec Numbers Off the Engine and the Unit Model Numbers, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. The Engine Model Numbers May be Stamped Into the Blower Housing (metal engine cover) Above the Spark Plug. The Mower Model Numbers are Usually Located Under the Seat on a Sticker on the Body of the Mower. Does this Engine have a Carburetor Solenoid? What Happens if you Use a Small Amount of Starter Fluid or Gas Poured Into the Carburetor Throat? Does the Engine Start and Quit? Thanks.
