Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): old HM80 Tecumseh, specification numbers, float bowl

Question
Greetings John- Over the summer i picked up an old(82-85) HM80..tag is gone so no ID#or serial.engine is free with good compression-had seen very little use on snowblower.BUT-i plan to use it on portable job site table saw as these had fast positive governor response i believe and a 1" shaft. Carb has #572 on body-hope you can id type from this. Need carb kit/float/bowl & an appropriate air cleaner assembly as this had none. I'm replacing gas tank rather than try and get gunk out(its poly)replaced plug and gave a shot of fluid in carb and with 2 pulls it tried to fire so pretty sure coil/points are ok..   If you can assist with id of carb and required parts including air cleaner assem. it would really help. Regards, Amadee French

Answer
Hello Amadee:

I Suggest you Go to this Site Addy; You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Engine at this Site Addy, http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Select the T. Then Select Tecumseh. Then Select Don't have Part Numbers. Then Enter the Model Numbers (HM80). Then Select your Model and Download the File for Online Viewing. I Used the HHM80-190000 Breakdown for Reference. Usually the External Components of the HM80/HHM80 Engines are the Same, No Matter what the Specification Numbers are. Look through the Different Files and you Should be Able to Locate the Parts and Part Numbers you Require. The Carburetor Part Number (shown on page 1 of 11 and is Breakdown #380) should be Tecumseh #632325 and Cost Approximately $68.51 Plus Shipping. Your Local Small Engine Service Center can Supply a Rebuild Kit for the Carburetor. The Air Filter and Other Related Parts are Shown on Page 6 of 11. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
