Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): kohler fuel pump, metal fuel, exact model

I have a craftsman 15.5 lawn tractor(917.252581) with kohler engine model #cv15s type number ps41508. I determined that i needed a fuel pump as the reason my mower would not start.  I bought a kohler fuel pump kit from a shop and was told that the 12-559-02 was the same as the 12-559-01 (which was in my manual. However, the top of the pump has a larger hole than the original part and I don't know what part I need to properly seat in the pump  to connect to the metal fuel line so that gas does not leak out.  Do they still make part 12-559-01?  My grass is growing so fast and I need this resolved soon.  thank you.

    The shop Gave you the wrong Pump 12-559-01 Is Specific to your Kohler engine return it for a refund I am finding you a source online to get you the right part your engine specs require.
the 12-559-02 Id Used on the Twin Cylinder Kohler engines and will not retrofit to yours.
